TEN LINE Tuesday

Today’s ten lines come from the next story I’m going to self-publish in my Beach House Nights series. It’s called “Something Wet.” Enjoy…and let me know if you like it!

As she pulled her finger out of her mouth, she glaned up to find Logan McMaster’s staring at her. She stared back and released the digit slowly and seductively over her bottom lip and smiled. “Who?”

He smiled back.

“Jared.”

“Here, hold this,” she said and gave her hanger to Stella. Never taking her eyes off Logan she grabbed the bottom of her tank top and yanked it up and over her head. Underneath she wore a skimpy white bathing suit halter with sheer horizontal stripes.

His gaze lowered to her breasts and his tongue wet his bottom lip.

She grinned.

Ten Line TUESDAY

Today’s ten line Tuesday is from the story I’m editingand hoping to get out in the publishing world some time this year.

Under His Cover

“Where are you taking me?”

“Right here,” he said, and turned her around into a hidden alcove just off the lobby. All sound, except her breathing and his, evaporated. She was enveloped by his nearness, his musky smell, the sheer depth of him.

Rhys eased her back against the wall and placed his knee between her legs. She was almost positive he could feel the wetness that coated her panties. Her need for something hard stroking her clit became unbearable, but she resisted the urge to grind her pussy against his thigh. “W-what are you doing?”

“Well, you said you were the flavor of the night. I thought it was about time I got a taste.”

When his lips and tongue made contact with her skin, she almost melted to the floor. She gripped his arms and held on as he devoured her shoulder and her neck.

Ten Line TUESDAY

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011 | Ten Line Tuesday, Writing | No Comments

Today I’m going to give you a sneak peak at my upcoming release, Phoenix Kiss, coming soon from Ellora’s Cave! I just finished my second round of “killer” edits…and I do mean brain cell killer…for real…but I adore my editor though. The way she edits has really made me pay attention to things as I write, which I hope will make me a “cleaner” writer. So, here goes…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With a tentative touch, she pressed her palm in the middle of his back and inched it down slowly, enjoying the feel of his skin beneath her fingertips, the muscles, the indentations. There was a thin, five-inch scar just below his right deltoid muscle that she traced with her middle finger. Other than that one mark, his skin was perfection.
Steam billowed up in the space as hot, almost boiling water, exactly the way she liked it, hit every inch of her body. The soap from his hair crept over her fingers as she began to rub her hands down the middle of his spine, moving from his upper back to his lower and stopping above the perfect ass she’d admired earlier.
After a moan, he turned around and her gaze swung up to meet his. It was intense and dark and his eyes glittered with desire as his dick rubbed over her stomach.
Layla gulped.
His eyes never left hers as he grabbed a white sponge, one of two hanging from a small clip on the wall, and began to lather it with soap. “Your turn.”
He turned her around and began to bathe her, moving down her back, over her shoulders, down her arms, never saying a word.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What do you think? You like it? To whet your appetite more…I’ve included the cover too.

Isn’t it gorgeous! Be sure to let me know what you think about the excerpt and the cover.

Peace, love and sex!

Ten Line TUESDAY

Tuesday, November 8th, 2011 | Ten Line Tuesday, Work In Progress | No Comments

It’s Ten Line Tuesday! Today’s 10 lines will come from a story that I started working on this summer. I’m thinking about self-pubbing a cozy-mystery series. This is ten lines from that story…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s called Snap Shot.
The people who were actually employed by the fair and didn’t rent booths to sell their own wares like she did, made about one-hundred and fifty dollars a day. Anyone who worked this carnival did it because they needed the money, not because they were looking for steady employment and certainly wouldn’t be driving a car like that.
On the ground to the right but behind the car, a woman’s purse lay on the ground. A prickle of recognition nipped at the recesses of her mind. She knew someone who had an exact replica of the same purse, just a different color. When she stopped and looked at the hair of the person in the vehicle a little bit closer, she knew who the purse must belong to. Even in the dark, from what she could tell, her shirt was white with crimson splotches in a straight line down the front.
Her head was bent forward with long curly tendrils almost hiding her face. With a gasp, Sonya braked. Her hands shook when she put the SUV in park and opened her door about ten feet away from the other car. It only took her a few seconds to move to the driver’s side door and see that the crimson splotches were not the latest in fashion design, but blood dripping from a wound in the right side of her neck.
Hope you enjoyed it!
Ten Line TUESDAY
Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 | Ten Line Tuesday, Work In Progress, Writing | No Comments
Today’s ten lines come from a Xmas story I’m working on, Under The Mistletoe. It’s unedited and it’s the follow up story to Halloween Wish.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

History repeated itself all over again, except this time…this time, he’d kissed her. He wanted to do it again. The instant his mouth swooped down, she sucked him in like a vacuum and his mind began to swirl. Her arms were up and around his neck, her fingers threading through his hair as she tangled and twisted her tongue with his. He’d been waiting for this moment to happen again for a very long time.  Neal thought he remembered what Jorja tasted like, how it felt to kiss her, but the kiss he shared with her when he was twenty-years old, paled in comparison to this.

Her lips were soft and warm and she simmered with the flavor of hot chocolate. She sighed, or was it him.

Ten Line TUESDAY

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 | Ten Line Tuesday, Work In Progress, Writing | No Comments

What I will do on Ten Line Tuesday is post ten lines from a current WIP (Work In Progress) that I’m working on to wet your appetite for an upcoming story by yours truly.  The following ten lines come from a novel I’m working on called And Then Some. It’s a menage. Oh yeah baby! My first time writing one. It’s been an interesting couple of months trying to work in the thoughts and feelings of “three” main characters. I’m working it out though. Wish me luck!

This is completely unedited. Don’t be too harsh on me :-) Here goes…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“One time. The only time. It’s not going to happen again and when you and Morgan finish my yard, I don’t see a reason we have to see each other ever again.”
There he went with the stalking again.
This time when he pressed her back against the wall it was fear she felt, not for her life or anything like that. She knew he wouldn’t hurt her. But what she was in danger of becoming was addicted to him and his brother, to the pleasure they could offer her, and she wouldn’t let that happen again. From firsthand experience she knew what addictive personalities could do to a person.
“Let me remind you of something,” he said before he lifted her off her feet and sat her on the table. And before she could do anything but moan, he’d pulled her skirt up around her
waist, he was on his knees and between her legs.
So…what do you think? You like it?
Peace, love and sex!
