Wednesday, August 8th, 2012 | Day Job, Work In Progress, Writing

I’ve come to the realization that August is a horrible month to write for me. WHY I’m just figuring this out…I don’t know. I go back to work in August. School starts in August. Duh!

It’s extremly hard to get writing time in when I have so much to do and get ready for. Plus, added with that…I’m in a new building this year and it’s going to take time to get used to my surroundings. And once school starts…forgetaboutit. I’m so busy during the day that I’m too wiped out by the time I get home to do anything. Not to mention learning about my children’s first days, making sure they have the right school supplies (which undoubtedly – they don’t – even though I followed the school supply list to the letter – there’s always something extra), homework, cooking dinner. Usually after all of this, there is no room left in my brain for creativity. The only thing I want in my brain – something clogging it up so I don’t have to think – like alcohol. Ha!

However, in saying all this, I have to get a book finished this month! The third book in my Beach House Nights series (Up All Night) is calling to me to get her done. So. I. Must. Do. It.

So…goals for this week which MUST be finished by August 17th.

  1. Complete Up All Night
  2. Send Up All Night to editor
  3. Send Up All Night to formatter
  4. Upload Up All Night to vendors

We’ll see what happens.

What about you? Do you have any goals this week? What do you HAVE to get finished?

Peace, love and sex!

Loved...loved...loved. Now...since she's finally dealt with the demons of both her parents...if she'd only get pregnant!!! I would really love to see how she combines being the bad-a@@-cop she is with motherhood.

This was my first Patricia Cornwell novel and I really enjoyed. Her relationship with her niece was great. Great story and plot. Can't wait to read the next one.

So awesome to be in Percy's head again! Once again Rick Riordan took me away to the awesome world of Roman/Greek mythology via his demigods. Instead of Camp Halfblood...in this book we visit the counterpart Roman camp, Camp Jupiter. In t...
