I’m going back in time. Today’s six sentences come from One Week Stand, one of my older releases from Cobblestone Press.

Jasmine lowered her foot, giving the man a break. They were in a public place after all. “I also sell toys.” She paused for effect and to gauge his reaction. “Sex toys.”

Since he chose at that very moment to take a sip of water, he choked out his questions. “What? Sex toys?”

Laughter bubbled up in her throat as he coughed out his question. “Yeah. You know, dildos, cock rings, nipple chains. Pleasure balls.”

By the look on his face, he would have taken her right there on the table, if he could have.

“And is it…profitable?”

To entice him, she took a piece of ice out of her glass and slowly licked it. “Very.”

“Check please,” he told the waitress as she passed by.

Jasmine Martin doesn’t believe in happily ever after.  However, her best friend is getting married and she’s promised to be her maid-of-honor.  In Las Vegas six months ago, Jasmine enjoyed a passionate night with a sexy doctor named Evan.  After all what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.  Right?

That’s all about to change when sexy Evan turns out to be her best friends cousin.  After seeing Evan again, their one night becomes a one-week stand.  Evan Harris believes it’s fate that brought Jasmine back into his life.  Can Evan convince Jasmine to turn their one-week stand into forever?

One Week Stand is available NOW! Amazon / B&N / ARe

Thanks for stopping by Krystal. You know…that was my favorite scene to write. And the cover artist captured that scene perfectly!

This was my first Patricia Cornwell novel and I really enjoyed. Her relationship with her niece was great. Great story and plot. Can't wait to read the next one.
