Sunday, August 26th, 2012 | Six Sentence Sunday

Going back in time again to an oldie…but a goodie! Today’s six sentences come from One Day At A Time, an older release from Cobblestone Press.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Fancy meeting you here.”
 His posture stiffened when he heard her speak, but his face appeared relaxed when he turned around to smile at her. “Hey.”
 She approached him slowly until she was mere inches from him. “You’re not running away from the party, are you?”
 His gaze raked her from head to toe and back up again, and when he spoke, his voice was raspy. “In a manner of speaking.”
 Kellye stepped a little closer.
 Xavier moved back. “I think you need to go back inside.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Xavier lost a bet and now has to pose nude for a friend’s art class. While posing, things sizzle between him and one of the students. She shows up later for an interview at his law firm. She”s the best candidate so he has no choice but to hire her.

Kellye has wanted to work for the most prestigious law firm in Dallas since graduating law school. Can Xavier convince Kellye that when it comes to finding love, all they need is one day at a time?

One Day At A Time is available NOW!

Thanks for stopping by ladies!

@Rae-Kellye’s the pursuer in this scene. Xavier’s trying to be good because he’s the boss. But she’s eventually going to get her man.

This is so great. In both my six and yours, the ladies are the ones doing the pursuing.

Loved...loved...loved. Now...since she's finally dealt with the demons of both her parents...if she'd only get pregnant!!! I would really love to see how she combines being the bad-a@@-cop she is with motherhood.

This was my first Patricia Cornwell novel and I really enjoyed. Her relationship with her niece was great. Great story and plot. Can't wait to read the next one.

So awesome to be in Percy's head again! Once again Rick Riordan took me away to the awesome world of Roman/Greek mythology via his demigods. Instead of Camp Halfblood...in this book we visit the counterpart Roman camp, Camp Jupiter. In t...
