Today’s Movie Monday – Snow White and the Huntsman.

I really enjoyed this movie! It was a great twist on the fairytale. I like the fact that Snow White wasn’t “just” a damsel in distress. She was a fighter! Yes, she needed help, but she wasn’t going to let anyone take her down without a fight. It was dark and edgy and the tone, mood and costumes reflected as much. If you haven’t seen this one and you’re not looking for the cartoon version of Snow White and you want something a little more mysterious…then this story is for you.. Plus…it has Chris Hemsworth in it.

Any movie with this gorgeous speciman in it is okay with me. I don’t care how grungy he looks. He’s still delicious to look at.

The family liked this one as well. Even my husband so that’s saying something. Of course…he liked the fight scenes. Plus…they didn’t spend a lot of time on the “love” story aspect of Snow White and the Prince. There’s a great twist at the end which took me by surprise. I’d like to see a sequel of this one. Not sure what it could be…but I’d love to see how these characters evolved.

Next Week: Madagascar 3.

As always….peace, love and sex!

I loved this movie too, had gotten a review from a friend at work and couldn’t wait to see it.

On a personal note…. if I had been Snow White, I would have kept them both. :-) . One of my coworkers went and saw it after me and kept saying but the prince….. I had to remind her but he wasn’t….. LOL

GREAT review.

Loved...loved...loved. Now...since she's finally dealt with the demons of both her parents...if she'd only get pregnant!!! I would really love to see how she combines being the bad-a@@-cop she is with motherhood.

This was my first Patricia Cornwell novel and I really enjoyed. Her relationship with her niece was great. Great story and plot. Can't wait to read the next one.

So awesome to be in Percy's head again! Once again Rick Riordan took me away to the awesome world of Roman/Greek mythology via his demigods. Instead of Camp Halfblood...in this book we visit the counterpart Roman camp, Camp Jupiter. In t...
