Today’s ten line Tuesday is from the story I’m editingand hoping to get out in the publishing world some time this year.

Under His Cover

“Where are you taking me?”

“Right here,” he said, and turned her around into a hidden alcove just off the lobby. All sound, except her breathing and his, evaporated. She was enveloped by his nearness, his musky smell, the sheer depth of him.

Rhys eased her back against the wall and placed his knee between her legs. She was almost positive he could feel the wetness that coated her panties. Her need for something hard stroking her clit became unbearable, but she resisted the urge to grind her pussy against his thigh. “W-what are you doing?”

“Well, you said you were the flavor of the night. I thought it was about time I got a taste.”

Movie Day MONDAY

There’s is just nothing good out there that I want to see. The last movie I saw…I guess a couple of weeks ago, was Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocal and it was excellent! I really enjoyed. I love a good action flick. Tom Cruise was back in Ethan Hunt rare form. There are a couple of movies that I want to see this month, One For The Money and Man on a Ledge. They both come out on the same Friday though, so I’ll have to decide which one I want to see first.

A movie that I’m truly truly anticipating is The Hunger Games. I absolutely loved reading that series and can’t wait to see how they play it out on the big screen. I for one know that it won’t be exactly like the movie, there are some things you just can’t put in film. My only expectation is that I expect it to be awesome!!!

Random Thought SUNDAY

Gotta get through it….

What is she talking about you might be wondering. I’m thinking about a writers life and goals and everything in between. I’m not lucky enough to be a full time writer…one day I hope. So, I have to get through everything else in my life to find time to write. Husband, children, children’s activities, my other career, house, home…etc. I have to get through ALL of that to find time to write, to promote, and socialize with my readers and other writers. It’s a must if I eventually want to become that full-time writer.

To do it all, I have to set goals. I talked about goals last Sunday too. But if I don’t set goals, write them down and constantly refer back to them, I’ll never get anything done or accomplished. I belive I’ve set some realistic goals for myself this year…yes, this year! However, I’m taking them day by day, week by week so I don’t overwhelm myself.

So, if you’re a writer, do you set goals for yourself and how often? If you’re a reader, what kind of personal goals do you set for yourself?

After they’d sat for a while in silence, he said, “I’m sorry about what happened, Dayna.”

Jared came up, picked up a rock, and tossed it into the ocean. “He was—is—my friend. What he did… You didn’t deserve that.”

Dayna stood and walked into the water, slicing her leg through the cool liquid and said, “Forget about it.”

“If I was lucky enough to have someone like you, I’d never fuck that up.”

That gave Dayna the opening she was looking for. She turned to face him. “And if you had me, say, for one night, what would you do with me?”

Even in the darkness, she saw his irises flair and smolder. He was up in one fluid motion and came toward her, splashing water on her legs as he did. Jared didn’t touch her, but his nearness caused heated desire to slither down her spine. “I would worship every inch of your body. When I was done, you’d know you were the only woman in my life and no other could ever take your place.”

Here goes nothing. “They why don’t you? Have me for one night.”

Jared moved closer until their toes touched in the water. The look he gave her could cause a lustful and lethal combustion. “Don’t say it if you don’t mean it.”

Dayna reached out, touched his chest, and willed the butterflies zinging around in her stomach to settle. She stroked him right above the slit before the buttons began, moving her finger in a slow, sensuous circle. What she wanted to do was tease him, tempt him, but instead she struggled for breath as her skin connected with his. Every cell in her body blistered with unbridled need. “Who says I don’t?”

Random Thought SUNDAY

Today’s post is about goals. Yeah..goals. All writers need them.

I whipped out some January – April goals at the beginning of the year which include editing, beginning and completing 5 stories. Phew…sounds monumental now that I think about it and look at those goals again. The one that I plan to self-publish is already completed and hopefully by the end of the month will be live for purchase! It’s been edited, I’m deciding on cover art for it and the 2nd story in the series and I already have someone in line to format it for me because I have no clue and don’t want one. LOL

This weeks goals to complete by next Sunday include:

1. Finish plotting Phoenix #2
2. Edit at least 100 pages of Under His Cover
3. Write 5K (new words) for And Then Some.
4. Complete everything necessary (editing, cover art, formatting) to self-pub Lover’s Revenge.

Lot’s to do this week and I must complete this all around, 2 kid basketball games, 1 kid practice, a PTA meeting, work and other family obligations.
