When you finish reading a good book, do you ever find yourself wanting to read more about those characters lives?

Oh, yeah – and how! Most recently with The Deep End of the Ocean by Jacquelyn Mitchard. I had a hard time getting into it at first, but by the end I wwas reluctant to put it down. I wanted to know what happened after the last page, that the characters would all be okay.

In another example, last fall I picked up Lisa Scottoline’s Killer Smile at the grocery store. I knew it was a keeper when I nearly read the entire first chapter while my groceries started to thaw in the cart. After devouring it in record time I immediately went in search of her entire backlist, which was extensive and included three books leading up to the one I had just read and most of which featured the same characters.

I also managed to get half a dozen people hooked on her as well by gifting them with a copy of her first book, Everywhere That Mary Went. Though they’re thrillers, not cozies, you really get to know the women of Rosato & Assoc. as if they were your closest friends. Her last two books have been about different characters, and while they were excellent reads, you can’t help wishing she’d return to Rosato & Assoc. some day so you can catch up with them again.

It was also announced a few months back that her Rosato & Assoc. series will be made into TV movies, and I can’t wait to see what they do with them.

I do remember a couple of books that have finished and I didn’t want to see that happen… but then, I guess that’s why they have Epilogues. It gives the reader closure *g*

I love the JD Robb books. MUST find out about Peabody and McNabb. Can’t wait til Mavis has her baby. You know…total immersion in fictional lives.
I’m working on a paranormal series. And some of my books are simply two books.

I love series books, and in various genres. Romance series and fantasy or science fiction series don’t work the same way, but I love them all the same.

I usually come up with the idea for more books while writing one. I am actively writing a couple of series.

I love series, particularly in mysteries. You’re gonna love Better Off Wed and Murder Uncorked. I’m reading the second Michele Scott right now–Murder by the Glass.

I’m working on a YA series and if I ever get my butt in gear and start working on my chick lit mystery, I’d like to make it a series, too.

You know i loved both of those series, HQ intrigue and intimate moments. I needed the suspense. yet I can’t write it so save my life! LOL. Those are great title!

I adore reading series books. JD Robb’s series is one that I keep up with as well as Sookie Stackhouse.

Lyric, check out Jennifer Apodaca’s Samantha Shaw series. I think the first one is called Dying to Meet You (or that might be the second). Anyway I’ve just received Thrilled to Death, which I think is book 4. The main character is a housewife. When her husband left her she went and had a boob enlargement done. She now has a hot detective boyfriend and a grandfather who keeps hacking into computers. She runs a dating agency and gets into all sorts of trouble while solving murders. It’s funny.
